Is the Texas Veterans Commission the same as the VA?

No. The Texas Veterans Commission is the state advocate for Texas veterans, their families and survivor. The Texas Veterans Commission staff and Veterans County Service Officers assist with filing claims for VA compensation, pensions, educational assistance, home loans, insurance, and other benefits.
